Responsibilities
Lead and own the design goal for medium product areas, establishing and evolving the patterns, frameworks, and standards that enable platforms to scale effectively
Drive design strategy and alignment across multiple teams and organizations, influencing product roadmaps and contributing significant new standards to Google Material and other design systems
Act as a core partner to the project stakeholders, Product Management, Engineering, and Research, translating user needs and business goals into a cohesive product goal
Mentor and guide other designers, elevating the overall quality of work and fostering a culture of design excellence within the team
Articulate a compelling product goal through a range of artifacts, including storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes, to effectively gain buy-in and communicate user flows and interaction models
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design
Experience working on consumer products
Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions)
Preferred
Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
3 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization
2 years of experience leading design projects
Excellent visual design skills and fluency in visual and interaction design tools
Excellent investigative, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
