Senior Manager

As the Senior Manager for Foods in the East Region, you will ensure operational excellence, drive adherence to best practices, and lead teams in achieving fiscal objectives while fostering a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to Food Division Best Practices and Starbucks standards, if applicable, by the team
Recruit, hire, and provide ongoing training for all unit leaders and hourly colleagues
Conduct quarterly check-ins with all People Leaders
Perform seasonal Deep Dive reviews and, if applicable, Starbucks Quarterly Planning Visits (QPVs)
Support manager development by communicating company and regional objectives and participating in performance review and succession planning processes
Serve as the liaison and primary contact for assigned regional food operations
Conduct regular and frequent site visits to ensure compliance with professional food service standards and licensee requirements
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal objectives – payroll, food cost, sales, and overall profitability
Regularly assess each unit's Food Safety and Operational Practices
Collaborate with the Central Food Service Team, Purchasing Manager, and suppliers to manage fresh food inventories, support new products and promotions, and monitor vendor services
Work closely with store and central partners to align regional and company business strategies such as staffing, retention, colleague development, and business growth
Provide feedback on tools, menus, and operational processes to enhance future brand openings and business operations
Ensure teams utilize all food division systems and tools effectively
Implement regional health, sanitation, safety, customer service standards, and promotions in collaboration with the Central Food Service team
Foster supportive relationships within the division and with key regional management stakeholders
Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
Qualification
Required
Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply
This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
May involve reaching above eye level
Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs
Able to travel: Up to 75% – Spending 4 days per week visiting stores within assigned region with 1 remote administrative back-office day
Some overnight travel required
Leadership and Team Development: Create a positive work environment to develop managers and colleagues to achieve Food Division goals
Operational Oversight: Ensure adherence to Food Division Best Practices and achieve fiscal objectives monthly, quarterly, and annually
Employee Management: Recruit, hire, and train unit leaders and hourly colleagues, conducting regular check-ins and performance reviews
Strategic Planning and Execution: Implement regional health, sanitation, safety standards, and promotions in collaboration with Central Food Service, aligning with company strategies
Communication and Relationship Building: Foster supportive relationships with store partners and regional management, practicing open communication and effective presentation skills
Analytical and Technical Skills: Assess unit performance on Food Safety and Operational Practices, collaborate on fresh food inventory management, and provide feedback on operational processes
Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to think creatively and strategically, work across functional lines, and adjust to flexible schedules based on department and company needs
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office programs and other relevant computer skills necessary for operational management
