Manager, Project Management

Responsibilities
Hire, onboard, mentor, and manage a team of Project Managers, fostering growth and skill development
Manage the day-to-day operations of the team – supporting team in daily tasks by providing managerial oversight and decision-making for multiple key projects up to and including resolving order timeline conflicts, setting customer expectations, and providing consistent performance feedback to improve customer experience to the team
Act as a key liaison to Operations, Sales, Finance, and Quality teams in prioritization, issue resolution, and communication to customers
Act as a point of contact for our global manufacturing facilities for issue resolution tied to domestic customers and G&W Electric’s representatives
Lead the development, implementation, and management of industry leading processes and tools that lead to superior levels of customer satisfaction
Establish and enhance the framework for risk identification, mitigation, and quality assurance for all key projects
Develop and review metrics and KPI targets that track team performance in areas that affect customer satisfaction and team efficiency
Set priorities and act early on negative trends
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive lean principles into team processes
Point of escalation for customer dissatisfaction and act as G&W Electric’s spokesperson – lead customer calls and meetings to continue customer relations
Significant global, cross-functional interaction, and leadership is required across the organization with Global Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Management, AMS, Finance, etc
Responsible for day-to-day performance of the Project Managers – setting team standards and metrics, managing resources, handling escalations, and stakeholder communications
Guides/monitors group toward its goals ensures employee’s productivity, resolve problems, has authority to change work roles and work distribution
Responsible for genuine input regarding Human Resources matters of significance e.g. participates in selection of new employees, provides meaningful input to performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, terminations etc
Qualification
Required
A Bachelors Degree within an Engineering or other technical field
A PMP or PgMP certifications from PMI
5+ years of experience in project/program management in Manufacturing or Power Industry
3+ years of experience in management/supervisory role
Proven record of initiative, problem solving and the ability to recognize and implement process improvements
Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to effectively communicate up, down, and across the organization
Microsoft Suite knowledge required (Outlook, Word, intermediate level Excel)
Preferred
Master's Degree within a Technical or Business field
Experience in the Power Industry – Utility or Commercial & Industrial
Working understanding of Smartsheet, Salesforce, JD Edwards
Agile/Scrum certifications
Previous experience within the power industry
