General Ledger Accountant
Partners Professional is currently conducting a Confidential search for an experienced General Ledger Accountant for their client located in east central PA. The selected candidate will maintain financial records, manage journal entries, assist with financial reporting, and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Responsibilities
Journal entries and reconciliation: prepare and post daily/monthly
Month/Quarterly/Year- end assistance and management
Analysis: reconciliation and balancing
Financial Reporting : preparing financial statements, and supporting schedules
Compliance and Audits: ensure all transactions are compliant with GAAP and internal controls, assisting auditors during audit process
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintenance of general ledger system and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or finance (required)
Experience 3-5 years' plus in GL accounting (Verifiable)
Proficiency in MS Excel and QuickBooks Desktop (required) along with MS Office suite
Strong understanding of GAAP, attention to details, analytical thinking, and the ability to work within a team oriented environment
Communication must be high level professional, written and verbal, and comfortable with speaking and supporting leadership, stakeholders, internal and external contacts to the standard of the company
You Must be able to seamlessly and quickly ramp onto their systems and processes, work independently, provide flexibility and retain training
Dependability, accountability and willingness to learn are all key to success in this role
Preferred
CPA would be a plus
