Asset Management Specialist

Responsibilities

Independently monitor the activities of the daily operations of the properties, and report significant information to the Senior Manager of Buildings and Construction, and the Director of Finance and Operations
Direct and monitor the third-party property management companies to ensure tenant satisfaction, smooth building operations, and thorough property maintenance
Identify, evaluate, and recommend capital improvement and replacement projects in the agency’s operating portfolio
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all company assets, including furniture, office equipment, tools, and technical hardware
Track asset deployment, relocation, maintenance, and disposal, ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices
Assist with the maintenance of the CRA’s professional office in coordination with landlord and other operational staff
Assist in the purchasing process for new equipment and supplies, ensuring value and standardization
Conduct regular physical audits of company assets across various locations
Provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for a wide range of organizational equipment, including but not limited to IT hardware (laptops, desktops, printers), network peripherals, and other proprietary company equipment
Set up, test, and ensure the proper functioning of Audio/Visual equipment (projectors, microphones, video conferencing tools) for executive and board meetings. Provide immediate technical assistance during these critical meetings
Create and maintain clear documentation for asset configurations, support procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Serve as a secondary point of contact for basic technical issues, escalating complex problems to the IT team as necessary

Required

Education: An Associate Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience/Training: Current enrollment or successful completion of a relevant professional certification (e.g., Information Technology, CompTIA A+, ITIL, or property/facilities management credential) will be considered instead of a degree
Minimum of three years of experience in general management
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic issues with computer hardware, operating systems, and common business applications
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly to multiple stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and work environments
Must be comfortable and effective in a hands-on role that requires physical activity, including lifting and moving equipment (up to 25 lbs)
Proactive, solutions-oriented thinker capable of anticipating challenges and mitigating risks in complex projects
Computer literacy in various software applications using spreadsheets, word processing, and databases; not limited to troubleshooting of technology equipment
Strong collaboration and team-building skills, with the ability to lead project teams, and work closely with diverse professionals
