Prepares designs and detailed specifications for construction or is responsible for the review of plans submitted by engineering consulting firms to ensure construction is compliant with City of Orlando standards and engineering principles, methods, and techniques
Plans details of work and makes technical decisions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
six (6) or more months professional experience in engineering, public works construction, or related field for Civil Engineer I
two (2) or more years professional experience in engineering, public works construction, or related field for Civil Engineer II
four (4) or more years professional experience in engineering, public works construction, or related field for Civil Engineer III
four (4) or more years professional experience in engineering, public works construction, or related field for Civil Engineer IV
equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Valid Florida Driver's License required
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida desired for Civil Engineer I, II, III
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida required for Civil Engineer IV
