Responsibilities
Create an exceptional experience for team members to thrive by fostering engagement, encouraging solutions, and facilitating effective communication
Understand, track, and analyze production and sales metrics
Develop, implement, and communicate a production plan based on capacity and workflow
Ensure proper communication channels are maintained between sales and production staff
Assist and empower the Service Advisor team to meet goals and performance metrics
As the automotive service manager, take ownership of gross profit by managing parts and labor margins, as well as inventory control
Monitor total shop productivity and identify opportunities for improvement
Ensure proper staffing and coverage through effective recruitment and scheduling
Interview and build a pipeline of future employees
Provide continuous training and career development for all team members
Hire, train, and lead location staff with a focus on company culture and cohesion
Maintain a professional personal image and uphold location standards
Oversee loaner vehicle cleanliness, safety, and readiness for customers
Manage inventory, building supplies, and operational resources
Qualification
Required
In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry and service operations
Proven leadership experience, ideally as an automotive service manager or in a similar role
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with a high level of energy and the ability to set priorities
