Responsibilities
Quickly gain fluency in CLPS technical details and science
Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans and strategies
Draft high-quality content for public and internal audiences, including news releases, web features, fact sheets, and social media
Prepare talking points, briefing materials, and presentation charts for events and engagements
Support stakeholders and leadership with communication needs, including event participation
Create and manage campaigns, presentations, and visual assets; contribute to multimedia content as needed
Review and edit all communication materials for accuracy, quality, and message alignment
Serve as liaison between programs, NASA centers, directorates, and the Office of Communications
Manage media relations, including interviews and outreach
Handle multiple complex projects under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or other appropriate area of specialization from an accredited college or university
Must have 5 years of relevant experience
Proficient in oral and written communications, including writing and editing
Proficient in AP style
Advanced problem-solving skills
Will undergo a standard background check along with verification of education requirements
Some travel may be required
Preferred
Familiarity with technical and scientific concepts preferred
