GovTA Tester (Quality Assurance, Senior Analyst)

The MIL Corporation seeks a GovTA Tester (Quality Assurance, Senior Analyst) to support a Federal Government client in Charleston, SC. This role will be responsible for performing analysis, creating test plans and cases, identifying defects, quality assurance testing, and analyzing and reporting the information necessary to support software releases through the project lifecycle, using Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

Examine system requirements and user stories to understand functionality and define test needs
Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and user needs
Perform manual and automated testing to validate the system's functionality, including regression testing, to ensure new features and updates work as intended
Identify, log, document, and track bugs and errors. Provide detailed analysis of failures to the development team to help resolve issues
Provide clear, concise feedback and detailed reports on test results and system performance to stakeholders to aid the team in establishing shared expectations for a successful project
Work with cross-functional teams, to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle and at significant milestones
Provide subject matter expertise on software functionality and business processes

Required

Ability to Obtain a Secret
BA/BS
US Citizenship
3-5 years of experience with the software development lifecycle (analysis/design, development, testing, implementation, support)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Expertise with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience writing and executing test scripts and test cases
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor
Experience with various testing methodologies: Agile, regression testing, integrated testing, and performance testing
Familiarity with the GovTA/UKG/Kronos system or similar time and attendance systems

Preferred

Experience with PeopleSoft applications (North American or Global) or comparable payroll or financial system(s)
Experience with SQL
Experience with test automation applications (UI Path, UFT, MS Power Automate)
Experience in software testing
