Responsibilities
Source electrical materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors and subcontractors; negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effectiveness and project timelines
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, evaluate vendor performance, and resolve issues related to quality, delays, or shortages
Prepare purchase orders and submittals, track shipments, manage inventory levels, and collaborate with project managers on material needs
Conduct cost analyses, monitor market trends for electrical components, and identify savings opportunities while ensuring compliance with safety and company standards
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in purchasing, preferably in electrical contracting or construction
Strong knowledge of electrical materials, pricing, and supply chain logistics
Proficiency in procurement software, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems; experience with Remarcable and QuickBase or similar a plus
Preferred
Excellent negotiation and communication skills for vendor interactions and internal coordination
Ability to analyze bids, manage contracts, and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
