Junior Designer
Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative entry-level junior designer to join the Marketing and Communications (MAC) department. The Designer will work on multiple projects to create printed collateral and digital assets while supporting the development and implementation of the company’s branding and visual strategy.

Collaborate with senior designers and other MAC team members to produce work reflective of BPL’s brand, throughout a variety of media and forma
Remain current on industry trends and technology
Participate in weekly staff meetings, critiques and brainstorming sessions
Maintain a professional approach to feedback and deadlines
Assist in production related needs as requested by the Senior Production Director
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design
1 - 2 years of professional graphic design experience
Works on a MAC and is knowledgeable in: Adobe CS – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Professional (required)
Good communication skills, both written and spoken
Good organizational skills that support the rest of the team
Preferred
Working knowledge of MS Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel a plus
