Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical owner of AES’s VMware Horizon View virtual desktop environment, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability
Manage and optimize FSLogix profiles and App Volumes for efficient application delivery and user experience
Support and enhance AES’s virtual infrastructure, collaborating closely with global teams to improve performance and maintain best practices
Create and maintain software deployment packages, manage automation initiatives, and develop process improvements for scalability and self-service capabilities
Evaluate software requests and make recommendations aligned with AES business needs and industry standards
Perform advanced troubleshooting of complex virtual environment and endpoint issues
Analyze and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with AES’s security and operational policies
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, standards, and procedures
Provide technical guidance to team members, engage with vendors, and support budget and lifecycle planning for digital workplace technologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent technical training or experience
5+ years' experience in enterprise systems administration with a strong focus on VMware Horizon View and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
Hands-on expertise with FSLogix and App Volumes in a large-scale production environment (required)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, LAN/WAN
Strong knowledge of Azure and Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune
Strong knowledge of Windows 11, SQL Reporting, and PowerShell scripting
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong teamwork, adaptability, communication, and problem-solving skills
