Responsibilities
General oversight of Financial statement process, including AP/AR/GL, reporting, close
Assist with performance reviews, hiring, task delegation, etc
Create, test, maintain, internal controls
Reinsurance Accounting
Ensure compliance: Sarbanes Oxley, Statutory Accounting Principles
Treasury management, including presentation of financial reporting to the board
Cashflow and budget management
Oversee and deliver projections
Investment management
Assist with the analysis of new technologies to implement
Qualification
Required
CPA or MBA in Accounting / Finance
20+ years' progressive Accounting & Finance Experience
5+ years' leadership of Accounting & Finance personnel
2+ years' recent insurance industry experience (P&C, Health, etc.)
Heavy experience being involved in overall organization strategy (not just A&F ops), at least contributing to these conversations, if not making the decisions
Strong comfort with / background in technology (able to assist IT in analyzing tech to implement)
Outstanding Communication

Statutory Accounting Principles experience
Reinsurance experience

1st yr bonus: $50k (descretionary)
