Responsibilities

Evaluates, determines, and drives program management activities to manage one or more moderately complex program or portfolio
Provides knowledgeable input to review and drive execution of innovative solutions to technical issues
Applies program management and financial standard to the development of cost and schedule framework for projects and program elements
Provides assistance in the financial planning, monitoring, scheduling, preparation, and release of technical/schedule information required for program/project planning
May assists in establishment and oversight of production/project definitions, maintenance of schedules, and engineering releases associated with weapon or reimbursable programs
Performs some technical, administrative, and logistical liaison roles with company, design agencies, laboratories, integrated contractors for a program or portfolio
Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with other internal business units and external customers
Guides and mentors lower-level Associate Program Managers

Required

Bachelors Degree required
2+ years of relevant experience in engineering, business, or program management
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
United States Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

Preferred

Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering
Ability to integrate concepts and information with program management systems and processes
Ability to provide project management guidance, consultative services, and innovative solutions
Working knowledge of business concepts principles associated with project cost and forecasting
Effective communication, interactive and presentation skills
Established knowledge of customers, products, technologies, processes and PMI certification preferred
