Responsibilities
Collect, transform, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability
Prepare reports, reserve estimates, journal entries, financial statements, and industry studies
Develop innovative solutions to improve actuarial tools, processes, and overall productivity
Conduct cost-benefit analyses and provide actionable insights to leadership
Lead projects related to automation, IT initiatives, and product development
Oversee requirements gathering, testing, and implementation of actuarial solutions
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
Collaborate with business partners to address regulatory changes and implement new processes
Respond to audit requests and coordinate with internal and external auditors
Analyze trends, forecasts, and deviations to provide recommendations to management
Communicate solutions clearly and effectively to stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience (10 years without a degree)
Minimum of 6 years of technical experience as an analyst or in a related role
Preferred
Degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial science, or related quantitative field
Experience building analytical tools using Excel VBA, Python, SQL, or similar applications
Completion of at least one actuarial exam (designation not required)
Prior experience supporting actuarial or modeling projects
Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor content for diverse audiences
Proven problem-solving skills and aptitude for technology
Military background or experience as a military spouse/domestic partner
