The role involves building and improving a full-stack product, collaborating closely with the CTO, and ensuring the reliability and performance of the software during peak usage periods.

Responsibilities
Build and improve the full-stack product used by real programs
Ship across the stack:
Django backend (endpoints, business logic, permissions, admin tooling)
Python + SQL for pipeline work (tables, transformations, validation, automation, reporting workflows)
Front-end features and UX improvements within our current stack
Improve reliability and performance for high-usage periods (portal cycle, preseason, conference play)
Turn 'coach needs' into clean workflows: fast, simple, and dependable
Collaborate tightly with the CTO on architecture, code quality, and execution speed
Qualification
Required
Comfortable building in Django, Python, and SQL
Full-stack mindset: you can debug across layers and get things to production
High motor + ownership: you communicate clearly, ship consistently, and follow through
You have a passion for basketball and want to grow toward Basketball Operations long-term
Professional engineering experience preferred; CS/Engineering degree a plus (not required)
Preferred
AWS experience (deployments, services, monitoring)
Data engineering / ETL experience
B2B SaaS or analytics product experience
Experience working in fast-moving, small-team environments
