This role involves troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and the start-up of printing equipment, requiring extensive travel and a strong mechanical background.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues on large printing equipment promptly and efficiently
Utilize problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on printing machinery to ensure optimal performance
Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
Perform corrective maintenance on mechanical components, ensuring the reliability and longevity of the equipment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex mechanical challenges
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new printing equipment
Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth integration and functionality
Evaluate and facilitate the start-up of pre-owned printing equipment
Conduct performance tests and adjustments to meet operational standards
Qualification
Required
Electrical/Mechanical expertise with large machinery or printing
Commercial printing or web/converting equipment (offset, flexo, digital web systems)
Ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics
Experience with multimeter usage and electrical testing
Strong troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for detail
Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time. Usually fly out on a Monday and are gone for around 10 days at a time before coming home for a couple days
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Familiarity with PLC systems (although no direct experience is required). You will not be troubleshooting or programming them
