Marketing / Administrative Assistant (Part Time)
Iron County is accepting applications for the position of Marketing / Administrative Assistant for the Iron County Fair department. The role involves performing various administrative and clerical duties while generating awareness of the Iron County Fair and assisting the Fair Director in achieving departmental goals.

Responsibilities
Perform various administrative, clerical, and general office support
Perform skilled duties to generate awareness of the Iron County Fair while assisting the Iron County Fair Director in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the Iron County Fair and providing assistance in the overall branding efforts
Works under the general guidance and direction of the Iron County Fair Director
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of closely related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Must have and maintain a valid Utah Driver License in accordance with Iron County Personnel Policy Section 30
Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening
Knowledge of Iron County Fair and associated events; website structure and functionality; modern office practices and procedures; various computer applications (i.e. word processing, web design, photo editing, data entry, database management and spreadsheets); basic html code and video editing
Ability to identify the unique sellable qualities of the area and events associated with the Iron County Fair; meet deadlines and to follow up on projects, events and media strategies after completion to determine 'return on investment'; to follow directions both verbally and in writing; prioritize and organize responsibilities while adhering to a budget; learn and recommend new and improved procedures; build and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers, community partners, media, elected officials and others; maintain accuracy and attention to detail in work assignments; work unsupervised and accept responsibility for actions; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; to distill relevant and useful elements from vast amounts of information; understand and follow broad objectives and instructions; read, comprehend and apply rules, regulations and procedures; work non-standard hours, as needed, including some weekends and holidays; work outdoors in various conditions and terrain
Skill in photography and videography; providing excellent customer service; operating office machines and equipment; managing stress and meeting deadlines
