NEOGOV is seeking an IT Administrator Senior to join Marion County's Information Technology department. The role involves providing enterprise support, planning and implementing services within technical disciplines, and ensuring the performance and security of assigned systems.

Responsibilities

Maintains responsibility for the design, implementation, documentation, and decommissioning of infrastructure and services that are assigned, that meets applicable goals and objectives as defined by business and departmental objectives
Develops, implements, and maintains the standards, processes, procedures, of how the infrastructure is monitored, managed, and maintained
Collaborates with project managers and technical services teams to identify and mitigate problems and incidents with the infrastructure and services that are assigned
Maintains responsibility for the monitoring, management, and maintenance of the infrastructure that they are assigned
Monitors infrastructure for performance, capacity, and other potential risks
Manages the infrastructure, ensuring that the configuration, capacity, security, and availability requirements are met, and exceptions are documented
Maintains the infrastructure through proactive patching, lifecycle replacement and routine maintenance
Ensures that maintenance downtime is communicated to all appropriate personnel and change management procedures are followed
Provides technical support for the infrastructure assigned
Collaborates with support operations, development, and our customers to ensure that infrastructure related incidents and problems are resolved in a timely manner
Provides support for technical teams through documentation, guides, and acts as a subject matter expert for the infrastructure they are assigned
Participates in on-call rotation for after-hours infrastructure support
Collaborates with IT Supervisor and other team members to derive solutions that achieve business objectives
Reviews infrastructure and services that are delivered to ensure that a high-quality product is delivered
Assigns work items to other employees within the team assigned
Participates in meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc. for the purpose of gathering information required to perform the job
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer systems or related area
Four years of responsible technical experience in enterprise infrastructure related discipline, including two years of lead worker experience
Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County
Must possess a current driver's license in the applicant's state of residence and an acceptable driving history
The finalist for this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check, including fingerprints
Thorough knowledge of enterprise infrastructure; hardware and software installations; internet and intranet-based applications; security concepts; advanced research and analysis concepts and techniques; project management and supervision techniques; and general planning concepts
Skill and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; convey technical and complex information; assign work and evaluate staff performance; troubleshoot and resolve user concerns and operational problems; assess capacity and future needs of enterprise infrastructure; perform enterprise infrastructure installations; train and direct others in use of system; coordinate and implement projects; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with system users and other county personnel; fix complex system problems with minimal user impact
