Responsibilities
Lead supply planning from start to finish, ensuring product availability across all channels
Create, manage, and adjust purchase and transfer orders with accuracy and urgency
Build strong vendor relationships and confront performance issues professionally and promptly
Anticipate risk—especially with long-lead items—and develop contingency plans before issues escalate
Optimize inventory to prevent stockouts, minimize excess, and reduce obsolescence
Analyze data trends, supply constraints, and forecast signals to improve planning accuracy
Monitor and report KPIs, highlighting risks and driving corrective actions
Own and evolve planning tools, dashboards, and processes to improve visibility and efficiency
Support and mentor junior buyers and procurement staff
Lead or participate in cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
Travel occasionally to vendors for procurement and relationship-building
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
5+ years in supply or production planning (CPG preferred)
Strong Excel proficiency (advanced functions expected)
Experience building dashboards, tools, and planning models
ERP and inventory management system experience required
Preferred
APICS CPIM or CSCP preferred
