Trauma Program Manager - Level IV - UPMC Washington
UPMC Washington is seeking a dedicated and experienced Trauma Program Manager – Level IV to lead and coordinate their trauma services while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and evidence-based practices. This role is critical to advancing high-quality trauma care, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and promoting continuous performance improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities
Communicates with peers and management any safety hazards identified in the workplace
Oversees and coordinates the data flow process for concurrent quality issues and directs each to appropriate personnel
Overseas and coordinates organizational preparation of the PTSF survey and application process
Coordinates activities with the Trauma Program Medical Director and Chief Nursing Officer to facilitate overall quality and consistency
Development of the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Plan (PIPS) per regulatory standards
Maintain the Trauma PIPS database to ensure adequate documentation and completion as required by regulatory agencies
Ensures that all components of the trauma program meet the quality assurance standards established by the hospital
Aggregates information / data related to trauma care systems so that patterns are ascertainable to program and hospital leadership
Maintains all trauma performance improvement program documentation
Assess, implement, and evaluate department programs and services to support the trauma program's strategic and operational plans
Ensure compliance with standards set by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF)
Develops, recommends, and administers policies to provide direction and oversight necessary to ensure an efficient and effective patient care and/or services
Collaborates with the Trauma Medical Director, UPMC Trauma Service Line Director and Medical Director to develop and maintain a set of quality indicators for the trauma program
Reviews PTSF quarterly reports and indicates trends for review
Maintains credentialing data on all trauma practitioners
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an approved school of nursing for registered nurses
BSN Required, MSN Preferred
Minimum 3 years' experience in clinical nursing care
1-year clinical experience in care of the injured patient
Ability to communicate effectively with professionals in diverse disciplines
Knowledge of medical and nursing equipment utilized in trauma care management
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and data-base management
Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located or eligible for State Board Licensure
Advanced Nursing Certification per PTSF approved certifications: TCRN, CEN, CPEN, ATCN, TNCC, CCRN, PCCN, CPN, CFRN and CNRN
CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
Act 33, 34, & 73 Clearances required
