IAM Product Owner
Cummins Inc. is seeking a talented Product Owner III to join their Systems/Information Technology team in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will lead the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) program, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions while driving product vision and backlog management.

Responsibilities
Shape Business Priorities – Identify short- and long-term goals using Lean-Agile thinking and business expertise to align strategy with customer needs
Champion the Customer Voice – Represent the customer by defining personas, prioritizing their problems, and ensuring solutions address real market challenges
Drive Product Vision & Backlog – Own and refine the product and program backlogs, set iteration goals, and ensure transparency for all stakeholders
Lead Agile Practices – Apply Lean/Agile leadership principles, facilitate Program Increment planning, and maintain flow through just-in-time story elaboration
Enable High-Quality Delivery – Use Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and clear acceptance criteria to reduce rework, increase efficiency, and ensure Definition of Done
Bridge Strategy and Execution – Connect strategic objectives with tactical plans by collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, and cross-functional teams
Measure and Optimize Outcomes – Define KPIs and OKRs to track success, continuously inspect and adapt processes, and improve product performance
Influence and Build Relationships – Gain buy-in across a matrix organization, foster collaboration, and leverage Business Relationship Management to deliver value
Balances stakeholders - Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders

Lean Agile and SAFe Mindset - Advocates for and leads others in the concepts of the Agile Manifesto and Lean thinking in support of adopting and applying the 9 SAFe principles and practices for the organization
Lean Portfolio Management, budgets, and Economic Framework - Applies Lean and systems thinking approaches in support of strategy, investment funding, Agile portfolio operations, and governance; evaluates working systems; manages Epic investments and dynamic budget adjustments to minimize overhead through funding and empowering Value Streams while maintaining financial and fit-for-use governance to minimize overhead; assesses and supports decision rules that align to the financial objectives of the Solution to guide the economic decision-making process
Planning and Managing Ceremonies - Plans, schedules, and leads ceremonies that create a cadence for the team to maximize productivity, promote collaboration, maintain transparency, and inspect and adapt so the team can continuously learn and improve
Program Backlog Management and User Story Elaboration - Identifies, refines, prioritizes, and sequences backlog items using Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) to ensure the economic success of the solution; determines the details of a product feature to ensure that any unanswered questions about it are answered so that development can proceed
Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization
Qualification
Required
College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required
Significant business and technical knowledge with practical experience of the Lean Methodology and its principles and tools
Significant experience working in an Agile environment
Previous experience as a Product Owner
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 12+ years of information security or information technology experience
10+ years' working experience in Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM)
Strong understanding of CIAM concepts, technologies, and best practices
Highly effective in developing and communicating audience appropriate information to technical, non-technical, management, and executive audiences
Proven experience in successfully designing, implementing and operating CIAM service capabilities and overall IAM functions in technically complex organizations
Extensive experience in architecting, building and implementing large-scale CIAM platforms with one or more of the leading CIAM/AM products - MS Entra External ID, Ping Identity, Okta, Salesforce IAM etc
Experience in developing and running multi-year, complex CIAM initiatives and programs
Experience managing relationships with Product and Services vendors
Proven ability to build and maintain strong enterprise relationships with internal and external teams/partners
Strong understanding of AM protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML) and security principles, including encryption, token security, and session management
Deep knowledge of agile processes and workflows
Must have good communication and collaboration skills
Solid diagnostic, testing, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL
Experience with Angular framework/Java
Working knowledge of Active Directory concepts, including users, computers, groups, policies
Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
Understanding of database architecture and concepts
Good organizational and time management skills
Must be team-oriented and able to collaborate across many participating teams
Preferred
SAFe® Product Owner/Agile Product Manager (POPM) certification
Nice to have experience with the Salesforce.com platform. Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Experience Cloud etc. Experience in Force.com/Lightning/LWC/Apex, CICD/COPADO/JIRA/DevOps
Preferred experience with Cloud technologies (Oracle Cloud, Azure or AWS)
Preferred position relevant information security certifications (CISSP, CIGE, CIAM, CIMP, CAMS, CIPA)
