Responsibilities
Shadow experienced technician on service calls
Perform basic equipment checks
Travel to customer sites to assist with installation and repair of equipment
Under supervision, perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity
Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and professional service
Effectively communicate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer support and service delivery
Act as a liaison between the customer and the company to ensure customer satisfaction
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 standards
Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Complete all required safety and compliance training
Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and customer interactions
Complete timely reports, including service reports, expense reports, and quality alerts as directed
Manage company assets, including a service vehicle, parts inventory, tools, and test equipment
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
6-12 months of experience in field service or a related role, preferably in the electrical field
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Proficiency in using hand and power tools
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company's driving requirements
Must be able to differentiate colors
Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times
Must be able and willing to be on-call
Risk of electrical shock
This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyone's safety
This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions
