PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE - Welder/Fabricator
American Muscle Docks & Fabrication (AMD) is a branded manufacturer and marketer of boat dock systems, floats, gangways, and marine hardware. They are seeking a full-time Production Associate - Welder/Fabricator to perform welding, fabrication, and assembly of boat dock assemblies and parts.

Responsibilities
Reads and comprehends workmanship standards and verbal instructions to safely and efficiently produce quality parts and assemblies. Accurately completes production, quality, and safety documentation
Verifies equipment set-up and performs safety checks. Follows safe job procedures and Safety Data Sheets
Performs MIG, TIG, spot welding; operates surface grinders and cutting torches. Uses hand and power tools. Randomly checks quality to ensure specifications are met
Moves, organizes, and stores raw materials, finished goods, tools, machine parts, etc.; assures load stability
Uses proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment, e.g., forklifts, stand-ups, pallet jacks, tow motors, safety cages, industrial ladders, etc. This is a “safety-sensitive” position requiring pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Uses mechanical-assisted or team lifting techniques to handle loads up to 70 lbs
Cleans and sanitizes work areas, tools, etc. Keeps manufacturing, warehouse, staging, storage, and inventory locations well-organized
Qualification
Required
High school degree or equivalent
2-5 years of experience in welding (TIG/MIG/Stick) and fabrication of aluminum and steel components
Effective applied math skills required to accurately count, weigh, and measure materials to meet specifications
Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints
Time management, problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Computer proficiency with email, Word, Excel, timecard entry systems, and web-based personnel systems
Highly ethical, positive cultural addition, self-motivated, combined with a desire to learn new skills
Finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination
Ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components
Standing or sitting for long periods
Demonstrates AMD core values: Respect, Precision, Urgency, Mastery, Positivity
Preferred
AWS certifications in welding
Metal fabrication, OSHA-10/30, and forklift operation certifications
Prior hands-on metal fabrication equipment operation (press brakes, drill presses, grinders, ironworkers, saws, shears), carpentry, warehousing, and equipment maintenance experience
Prior certification as a forklift operator (propane, electric, or diesel)
