Responsibilities
Provides on-site logistics support services for a federal customer in Norfolk, VA
Accepting requests for new Items and Companies to be added to the work management system (Maximo)
Researching the Item or Company
Creating or updating records in the system
Analyze Item and Company usage data
Update tables through results from analysis
Perform tasks within established and specific guidelines
Using good judgment in locating and selecting the most appropriate guidelines, references and procedures for application
Uses directives and instructions from DLA, NAVFAC, NAVSUP, and Maximo procedure manuals
Comprises fact-finding, review of information and making recommendations to resolve discrepancies
Plan and carry out successive steps and handle problems and deviations in the work assignment in accordance with governing supply procedures and standards
Work is evaluated for technical soundness and conformity to policy and requirements
Completed work is subject to spot check for accuracy and compliance with directives, procedures and quality standards
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the Navy and NAVFAC
Ability to conduct extensive and technical searches for information and material and to construct records for item management
Working knowledge of property inventory techniques, maintenance of asset records, and accountability
Knowledge of local, Navy, and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) automated systems, e.g., WebFLIS, Fed Log, Logiquest, OneTouch, Federal Supply Class Assignment, DoD FedMall, GSA Advantage, and Maximo supply systems
Ability to perform duties assigned independently without specific technical direction after initial training
Effective communicator, experienced in Customer Service, responding to email and telephone calls
Skilled in using Microsoft Access or SQL Developer, and Microsoft Office Professional applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Associate's degree or equivalent experience
2 years of related experience
