Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disruptions, suspicious activity, and medical-related emergencies by notifying appropriate clinical staff and/or emergency services
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned buildings, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, unlocked doors, and/or policy violations
Control access to restricted areas by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization as directed by site policy, and assisting with visitor direction and wayfinding
Document patrols, incidents, and observations in reports and logs, communicate key information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal management, and support shift change briefings
Qualification
Required
Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire
