Responsibilities

Drive organizational design, strategic workforce planning, and change initiatives
Serve as a strategic HR advisor to the CEO and leadership team
Lead HR initiatives that enhance culture, employee engagement, and alignment with mission and values
Support policy changes, new initiatives, and process improvements
Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards across all HR functions
Lead staffing operations and support short-term event workforce planning
Build career paths, leadership development, and coaching programs
Align learning and development with business goals
Oversee training programs that enhance staff capabilities
Manage performance management processes and talent reviews
Support compensation decisions with equitable, unbiased practices
Drive succession planning and identify high-potential talent
Lead recruitment strategies for full-time and seasonal workforce needs
Drive employer branding, sourcing strategies, and selection processes
Oversee ATS management to streamline recruiting, tracking, and onboarding
Design onboarding programs focused on cultural alignment and early success
Manage agency relationships as needed
Oversee compensation structure, job analysis, market benchmarking, and pay equity audits
Manage executive compensation, total rewards strategy, and benefits programs
Lead communication of total rewards through statements, guides, and workshops
Maintain and communicate organizational policies and procedures
Handle conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary processes
Guide managers on performance issues and corrective action
Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends
Support DEI efforts and foster a positive, inclusive culture
Lead recognition and engagement programs using key metrics and feedback tools
Lead selection and optimization of HRIS, ATS, and LMS platforms
Use data, KPIs, and benchmarks to drive decision-making and demonstrate ROI
Build transparent performance and recognition systems tied to business outcomes
Develop measurable outcomes supporting overall HR operational goals

Required

Bachelor's degree required (HR, Business, Org Development, or related field)
10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in senior HR leadership
Demonstrated success leading HR strategy, talent management, workforce planning, and organizational change
Experience partnering with executive leadership and board members
Expertise across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment and succession planning
Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits, engagement strategies, HR analytics, and employment law
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred
Experience in nonprofit, youth development, sports organizations, or mission-driven environments preferred
Experience managing a seasonal workforce is a plus
