Responsibilities
Support and manage a wide range of commercial contracts with strategic partners, including supply agreements, technology licensing agreements, development agreements, services agreements (including cloud-based services), software license agreements, and confidentiality agreements
Advise a wide variety of in-house clients who work with our strategic partners Provide on strategic, commercial, and regulatory issues
Identify and provide advice and guidance on ways to mitigate any legal or compliance risks associated with Tesla’s relationships with strategic partners
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor with current license to practice in at least one U.S. state or Washington, DC
Minimum of 8 years of practice experience, including substantial expertise with a wide variety of commercial transactions, and exposure to litigation, compliance, and regulatory issues
Excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to proactively identify problems, drive projects, make complex cost/benefit assessments, identify pragmatic and creative legal and business solutions, and quickly earn the confidence of colleagues
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while juggling competing priorities in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Quick and flexible learner with well-honed analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, comfort with ambiguity and risk, and enthusiasm for dynamic change
High standards, impeccable integrity and ethics, and unquestionable good judgment
Preferred
Prior in-house experience at a technology-focused company
