SBA Communications is a leading independent owner and operator of wireless communications infrastructure. They are seeking a Helpdesk Intern to support the office by assisting users with technical issues, logging user problems, and providing general desktop support.

Responsibilities

Assist users with technical PC and mobile-related issues
Answer calls and log user issues within the IT Database
Install and configure Microsoft Windows on PC hardware
Assist the desktop support team with various issues
Configuration and set up of locally and remotely deployed equipment
Assist with hardware inventory-related activities
Hardware-related Break-Fix on Lenovo products
Packing and shipping of equipment as needed
Virus-related support and removal as necessary
Other general desktop support-related activities
Assist with moving IT equipment for employee moves

Qualification

Technical PC supportMicrosoft Windows installationHardware inventory managementVirus removal supportTeam collaboration

Required

H.S. Diploma/GED plus College Degree-seeking student; or recent graduate and <1 year relevant experience
Ability to stoop, bend, kneel or crouch
Ability to stand, walk and sit
Ability to reach with hands and arms
Visual ability correctable to 20/20
Sitting up to 90% of the day
Ability to respond verbally in an understandable, professional manner in person and over the telephone
Manual dexterity to input data into the computer and the calculator and operate the equipment listed above
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
