Director/ExecutiveTapio is a fast-growing, private equity–backed platform focused on developing utility-scale renewable energy infrastructure across North America. They are seeking an entrepreneurial, execution-focused CEO to lead the growth of a next-generation renewable energy IPP, overseeing all aspects of company growth and strategy implementation.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement the long-term strategy to scale a clean energy IPP, including project origination, development, execution, and commercial operations
Oversee all aspects of company growth, including organizational design, team recruitment, capital deployment, and strategic partnerships
Build and lead a multidisciplinary executive team across engineering, development, finance, operations, and external affairs
Guide early-stage project identification and evaluation, including technology selection, resource risk, and site prioritization
Establish capital-efficient development models, with emphasis on risk allocation, contract structuring, and vendor alignment
Cultivate and manage partnerships with utilities, regulators, EPCs, technology providers, and land/resource owners
Lead investor engagement and serve as the primary spokesperson for the business with the board, financial partners, and key stakeholders
Implement robust internal systems and KPIs to drive operational performance, budget discipline, and cross-functional execution
Oversee ESG, permitting, and stakeholder engagement strategies in coordination with local and federal policy frameworks
Qualification
Required
Proven track record in energy development, infrastructure execution, or platform scaling
Ability to navigate the complexities of early-stage commercialization through to operations and capital markets engagement
Experience in developing and implementing long-term strategy to scale a clean energy IPP
Experience in project origination, development, execution, and commercial operations
Ability to oversee all aspects of company growth, including organizational design, team recruitment, capital deployment, and strategic partnerships
Experience in building and leading a multidisciplinary executive team across engineering, development, finance, operations, and external affairs
Experience in guiding early-stage project identification and evaluation, including technology selection, resource risk, and site prioritization
