Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud-native architectures using AWS (Microservices, Serverless, Containers)
Build end-to-end IoT solutions from device connectivity through real-time analytics
Develop streaming data pipelines and time-series data solutions
Design and optimize data lakes, warehouses, and analytics platforms
Implement AI/ML solutions including predictive analytics and anomaly detection for smart grid use cases
Prototype and integrate AI services using AWS SageMaker, Bedrock , and related tools
Lead technical design reviews and provide mentorship to engineering teams
Enforce DevOps best practices, cloud security standards, and scalable system design
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
8–10+ years of software development experience
5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience
3+ years in a technical leadership or mentoring role
Expert-level AWS experience including EC2, Lambda, IoT Core, Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, Glue, RDS
Strong experience with real-time streaming, data engineering, and time-series databases
Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Go
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and DevOps practices
Hands-on exposure to AI/ML services and big data platforms (EMR, Spark, Hadoop)
Preferred
Experience in energy, utilities, or industrial IoT environments
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Pro, ML, or IoT Specialty)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
Strong background in cloud and IoT security
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and stakeholder communication
