Responsibilities
Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location
Control access at entrances and designated points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing delivery check-ins, and/or directing foot traffic in accordance with post orders
Monitor doors, alarms, and assigned systems; document unusual activity and report maintenance or policy concerns to the appropriate contacts
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed
Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, sales floor, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior, with working environments and conditions varying by site
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
