Responsibilities
Onboard under the guidance of a Principal Algorithm Development Engineer to gain expertise in Cepheid’s signal-processing and Image processing -based embedded application. Take ownership as a key contributor for enhancements and new feature development
Refactor existing signal processing and image processing application logic to increase maintainability and portability and translate into Python that can efficiently execute on embedded processors and generate equivalent results
Apply AI and machine-learning as necessary to improve existing algorithms
Build mathematical models using discrete filters, statistical methodology and signal processing algorithms to process biomedical sensor data
Work with cross-discipline teams on new product introduction projects while adhering to software development , source control processes and document software requirements and detailed design
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical Engineering with 8+ years relevant experience or master's degree in computer science or electrical Engineering with 6+ years relevant experience or doctoral degree with 3+ years relevant experience in real-time embedded systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level
Experienced MATLAB, Python, C, C++ programmer with experience in real-time / embedded system design, debug, and testing in an Embedded Linux / RTOS environment
Experience in developing embedded applications for ARM, X86 architectures is required
Experience in developing digital signal processing, and image processing applications
Experience in developing applications using advanced deep learning and machine learning algorithms
Preferred
Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary environments
Medical device or regulated industry experience
