Responsibilities

Plumbing, painting, roofing, window guard installation, carpentry, locks repair, oil burner repair, prime and start up, radiator repair, seal ups and plastering

Obtaining necessary supplies from local vendors or Agency warehouse and transporting supplies and tools to the assigned work sites

Tracking work performed and supplies utilized as directed

Preparing written reports of inspections and/or entering related data into the computer systems

Must have the ability to determine the tools and supplies needed for the specific assignment

May be required to provide training to staff in the areas of repair and other rehabilitation skills

May supervise one or more Repair Crew Chiefs in the performance of their duties, reviewing and evaluating inspection reports of subordinate, and other duties as assigned

Required

Five years of satisfactory full-time experience in building construction, renovation, or repair in one or more of the following fields: electrical, plumbing, plastering, carpentry, painting, roofing, glazing, or heating; two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity

All candidates must have at least two years of supervisory experience in building construction, renovation, or repair

Education in an accredited college or university or in a relevant training program will be accepted to meet the non-supervisory experience requirement on a month-for-month basis up to a maximum of two years

Part-time experience will be accepted on a pro-rated basis

Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills

Must be proficient with PC software applications, such as Excel and Microsoft Word

Valid Driver's License

Preferred
