Responsibilities
Conduct skills assessments of applicants
Instructs and certifies newly hired represented employees
Instructs registered apprentices in associated academic classes
Instructs and certifies incumbent employees on various welding processes
Qualification
Required
3 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 1 year of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree
A combination of education and experience may be used in lieu of degree
Must be willing to work any shift assigned
Must be a currently active Ingalls Shipbuilding employee
Preferred
Proven ability to train employees to obtain certification in a craft skill within established timelines
Familiar with work policies and procedures for purposes of maintaining compliance requirements
Candidate has ability to work under limited supervision, with little to no instructions needed on routine work
Previous experience as a craft technical facilitator, instructor, or OJT role
Familiar with company reporting systems (i.e. timekeeping, command media, Outlook, etc)
