Responsibilities
Serve as trusted counsel to school leaders and boards on labor and employment and related matters such as governance, policy, and risk management
Advice on employment law (hiring/termination, investigations, wage/hour, accommodations)
Draft and negotiate contracts, handbooks, policies, and MOUs
Provide training on best practices, compliance, and policy matters
Partner with a collaborative team that values practical solutions and outstanding client service
Qualification
Required
Active California Bar (required)
3-5+ years advising/representing employers in employment and labor matters in California
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
A collegial, detail-oriented, strategic approach and commitment to client service
Preferred
public sector labor relations experience
