Latitude Legal is seeking a HIPAA Contracts Manager/Paralegal for one of its corporate clients with a strong background in drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial agreements. The role involves ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and supporting counsel with contract negotiations and vendor risk assessments.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and manage a variety of commercial contracts (vendor agreements, business associate agreements, licensing agreements, etc.)
Maintain contract templates, clause libraries, and tracking systems to ensure consistency and version control
Coordinate with internal departments (legal, compliance, IT, operations) to ensure contract requirements align with organizational policies
Assist in identifying and mitigating HIPAA-related compliance risks in contracts and business operations
Assist in developing and maintaining HIPAA compliance documentation, training materials, and audit responses

Required

3+ years of paralegal experience, with emphasis on contracts and regulatory compliance
Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and related healthcare compliance requirements
Strong understanding of commercial contract structures and key legal concepts
Proficiency in document management and contract lifecycle systems
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Paralegal certification or equivalent experience required

Preferred

Certified HIPAA Professional (CHP) or similar credential preferred
