Financial Analyst-Fuel & Airport Fees

The Financial Analyst – Fuel & Airport Fees will manage fuel and airport fee planning, forecasting, and compliance, while collaborating with various departments to support financial reporting and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

Support month-end close activities
Validating fuel and airport fee invoices against contract terms
Analyzing variances to ensure accurate cost reporting
Forecast fuel and airport fee spend by location using volume, price, seasonality, and network assumptions
Translate findings into clear insights and recommendations
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners—including fuel providers, FBOs, and airports—to resolve billing discrepancies and support dispute resolution
Contribute to new station business cases
Prepare executive-ready profitability analyses to support growth decisions and post-launch reviews

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited university
0-2 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, accounting, audit, pricing, contract analysis, or a related analytical role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort handling high-volume transactions
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, structured financial models)
Ability to interpret contract terms and translate them into validation logic and financial models
Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely
Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities

Preferred

Airline or aviation industry experience (preferred, not required)
Experience with tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Power BI, Alteryx, or ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct)
Familiarity with fuel procurement concepts (RFPs, escalation terms, index-linked pricing) and/or airport fee structures
