Financial Assistant II - Cancer Center

Responsibilities
Prepares and keeps financial and business transactions data up-to-date and prepares reports to ensure accurate accounting records
Prepares, records, and verifies information
Calculates, posts, and processes transactions and other clerical finance related support
Monitor budget accounts and expenditures
Monitor standing orders and commitments
Monitor grant accounts to ensure accuracy of budget assignments and expenditures
Assist in preparing and writing grant information for submission
Interact with faculty/staff on grant agency spending policies and procedures
Assist in preparing semi-monthly financial statements
Assist in preparing the annual budget
Prepare all deposits for external and internal funds received by the department
Coordinate special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma
2 years of minimum required experience
Knowledge of computers, clerical procedures, customer service standards, collaboration, and information management
Organization, time management, interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
