Responsibilities
Architect, build, and scale backend services and APIs
Design and operate distributed, cloud-native systems for enterprise SaaS platforms
Lead complex refactors, code reviews, and backend architecture decisions
Build services supporting LLMs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and AI agent workflows
Develop data pipelines and backend integrations across SQL and NoSQL systems
Leverage AI-assisted tools for development and testing
Prototype ideas through spike-first experimentation before full implementation
Define SLIs/SLOs, improve observability, and ensure system reliability and performance
Produce high-quality technical documentation and design specifications
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Frontend, Analytics, and Security teams
Qualification
Required
10+ years of software engineering experience, primarily focused on backend systems
Hands-on Python development building scalable, production-grade services
Strong experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django)
Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and data modeling
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data pipelines
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Familiarity with microservices, containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability tools
Proven ability to deliver complex backend systems in fast-paced or high-growth environments
Experience using AI-assisted developer tools in daily engineering workflows
