Business Development Director
KTGY is a design firm that specializes in architecture and urban design, and they are seeking a Business Development Director to drive client engagement and revenue growth for their multifamily architecture studio. Responsibilities
Act as the primary client liaison, strengthening relationships and identifying new opportunities
Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies, presentations, and in-person meetings
Identify potential strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance service offerings and expand business opportunities
Maintain an established network of contacts within the multifamily industry, including developers, owners, architects, brands, and operators
Attend key real estate industry conferences to ensure a strong firm representation to increase visibility within the industry
Identify speaking opportunities for studio leaders and share insights to inform business strategies
Build industry relationships through sponsorships, networking, and professional organizations
Define annual revenue goals and lead business development strategies with studio leaders
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
Manage the sales pipeline, updating targets and adjusting efforts for maximum impact
Work with business development, marketing, and PR teams to align messaging and outreach
Use a Go/No-Go framework to assess opportunities and mitigate risks
Track and report on sales activity, pipeline development, and business growth. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on performance and market trends
Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to develop tailored proposals, presentations, and pitches that align with the client’s vision and business objectives
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in business development within the A/E/C industry
Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
Excellent organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively across different geographies, disciplines, leadership levels, and with a wide range of personalities and working styles
Proven experience using CRM as a value-added tool
Advanced proficiency using MS Office
Advanced proficiency using Adobe Suite
Minimum 10 years of experience in a business development capacity within the A/E/C industry, preferably for a multi-disciplinary national architecture firm
Undergraduate degree in a related field
Deep understanding of the multifamily development, including trends, key players, and emerging opportunities within related market sectors
Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and achieve sales targets with strong negotiation skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
Willingness to travel frequently to meet with clients, attend industry events, and oversee new business opportunities; anticipate travelling to minimum of six national and six regional destinations
