Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows patching
Monitor system performance and resolve hardware, software, and OS-level issues
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
Apply system hardening and security best practices, including vulnerability remediation
Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments
Create, maintain, and optimize SQL queries and scripts for automation and reporting
Perform basic performance tuning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Partner with development and application teams for system compatibility and stability
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks
Support and manage virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, and/or Nutanix
Assist with system provisioning, capacity planning, and resource optimization
Collaborate with customers, technical teams, and management to resolve issues
Follow ITIL-aligned incident, change, and problem management processes
Produce and maintain system configurations, runbooks, procedures, and change control documentation
Participate in maintenance windows, troubleshooting efforts, and operational support activities
Qualification
Required
5–7 years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator in enterprise environments
Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
Experience installing, maintaining, and scripting for Microsoft SQL Server
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
Strong familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to customer service and operational excellence
