Development & Fundraising Intern
The Southeast Climate & Energy Network (SCEN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the climate crisis. They are seeking a Development Intern to support fundraising efforts through grant research, proposal writing, and environmental advocacy.
Responsibilities
Conduct research on potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources
Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting grant proposals, and letters of support
Track grant deadlines and application requirements, ensuring timely submission
Support post-award grant reporting, including compiling impact data and success stories
Maintain donor and grant databases, keeping records up to date
Collaborate with SCEN staff to align proposals with program needs and organizational goals
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program
Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
Interest in climate and energy issues and a commitment to sustainable practices
