Responsibilities
Researching and developing innovative ML solutions for challenging problems that will meaningfully affect how users interact with Siri on Apple products
Looking at the user experience we want to deliver, define the optimization metrics and propose solutions to achieve the goal
Bringing these innovations to life by working collaboratively with partner teams to take them all the way to production
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience with scalable machine learning technologies
Strong background in machine learning and deep learning
Proficiency in deep learning / machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and programming languages including but not limited to C/C++/Python, with strong software engineering fundamentals and an interest in optimizing, automating, and scaling end-to-end systems (e.g., PySpark, Airflow)
Strong attention to detail, along with the analytical skills and the willingness to dive into data to explain anomalies and conduct error/deviation analyses
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
Preferred
Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field; outstanding candidates with Bachelor's degrees and multiple years of significant engineering/product experience will also be considered
Industry experience in product development and deployment and understanding of full software product life cycle
Passion for high-quality product and excellent user experience
Experience with voice assistant technologies or conversational AI models and systems
Expertise in one or more of computer vision, signal processing, natural language processing, or related fields
