Responsibilities
Assigning work, scheduling shifts, evaluating performance, and providing guidance to dispatchers/Controllers. Oversee all daily jobs are scheduled and completed to the customers’ satisfaction. Will be the main point of contact for all logistics Controllers
Participating in the selection, training, and development of dispatch/Controller personnel, including identifying training needs and making recommendations
Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, maintaining accurate records, and managing dispatch equipment
Coordinating emergency situations, prioritizing dispatch needs, and maintaining communication with field units. Ability to quickly respond to urgent requests and execute with efficiency
Resolving day-to-day issues, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and handling complaints. Ability to interface with hauling companies to resolve logistical issues
Maintaining effective communication with dispatchers/Controllers, other departments, and external stakeholders. Ability to understand and work with the operations personnel in the field
Contributing to the development, implementation, and updating of dispatch policies and procedures. Must be able to drive the build out of the logistics Console. Will be responsible for all implementations and improvements to the process. Looking for someone who understands the broader picture and can take the program to the next level
Promoting safe work practices and procedures within the dispatch center
Analyzing workload data and generating reports on KPI’s that are delivered to key stakeholders. Ensures reports are accurate and delivered in a timely fashion. Must be able to draw correlation about performance based on available data and deliver improvement recommendations
Qualification
Required
Analyst/developer/engineer mindset
Ability to look at existing workflows and identify improvements
Ability to develop a roadmap for improvement
Ability to identify meaningful KPI's and effectively measure performance
Strategic thinking about the big picture
Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to develop reports in Spotfire
Ability to hit the ground running with little to no supervisor involvement
