Responsibilities

Hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling
Watershed and stormwater management design and analysis
Water quality assessments
Drainage design and permitting
Floodplain mapping and flood protection designs
Data management, analysis, and visualization
Reviewing state and federal regulations & permits pertaining to surface water
Fieldwork such as site visits/field operations oversight, stormwater infrastructure inventories and surface water sampling
Water resources sustainability and resiliency planning; and
Preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings, tables, figures, specifications, and proposals

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, water resources, or biosystems engineering, environmental science or similar
Strong written and oral communication skills
Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel

Preferred

Advanced degree in water resources engineering
Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
0 to 2 years of professional experience
Prior research or professional experience with surface water/H&H modeling
Prior internship experience in environmental consulting
Experience with modeling software such as ICPR, SWMM, or HEC-RAS
Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS
