Responsibilities
Review, develop, maintain, and report appropriate unit charge information
Coordinate with Revenue Integrity Coordinator for required updates to the Charge Description Master (CDM)
Ensure that the clinical documentation is present to support the charges that represent the services rendered
Implement automated processes where appropriate
Review clinical documentation pertinent to procedures
Analyze the degree to which clinical documentation is complete to support the charge for the procedure
Coordinate with Revenue Integrity Leadership to develop the presentation of data captured to ensure accuracy and understandability
Adhere to Federal and State regulation standards to assure compliance with standard billing and charging workflows
Refer staffing and scheduling decisions to the department leader
Prioritize projects assigned
Manage changes in charges used or needed
Release confidential information and manage expenditures
Qualification
Required
Requires an associate degree in business administration or computer science. Experience may substitute for required education on a year for year basis
One year experience in a healthcare setting or environment required
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc
Preferred
Experience in clinical charge capture using an Epic Electronic Medical Record platform
