Responsibilities
Overseeing and managing all aspects of the revenue cycle within a hospital
Managing the end-to-end process of patient financial services, from registration and charge capture to billing, coding, collections, and payment posting
Maximizing revenue and improving cash flow
Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and payer requirements
Overseeing the implementation of strategies to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction
Overseeing the Billing Manager, HIM Manager, and Patient Access
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business, Finance, or related field required
Minimum of 10 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level role in a healthcare setting
Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing, reimbursement, and compliance requirements
In-depth knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and healthcare billing systems (ESH currently uses Cerner/Oracle EHR system)
Preferred
Master's degree in a healthcare related field preferred
Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) certification a plus
Experience in Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) or rural healthcare environments preferred
