Responsibilities
Work from emails, drawings, verbal, and written requests to prepare comprehensive sales estimates for miscellaneous steel formed and fabricated projects
Analyze customer requests, project needs and interpret specifications
Calculate cut sizes and develop cutsheets for the shop to use in the forming and fabricating process
Generate sales orders in the company accounting database that contain order information and describe scope of work
Follow orders throughout the fabrication process from the time of customer request all the way until the material has been picked up or delivered
Assist the shop with any questions or complications during the forming and fabrication process to ensure that the customer is receiving exactly what they request in a timely fashion
Continuously broaden and enhance understanding of Steffani Metals’ shop and fabrication processes
Maintain solid working relationships with existing and new customers alike
Qualification
Required
Possess strong math skills with proficiency in Algebra, Geometry, and basic Trigonometry
Ability to read and interpret structural engineering PDF drawings
Knowledge of design and fabrication processes
Take direction and complete tasks without supervision while maintaining a high level of organization
Ability to move orders/projects through many processes
High school diploma required
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred
Minimum of 2 years experience in the Steel industry preferred
Bilingual is preferred but not required
