Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain serverless backend systems using Python on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, Step Functions)
Build infrastructure for AI agents that automate document processing, data extraction, and workflow orchestration
Implement event-driven architectures and patterns
Design and optimize DynamoDB data models and access patterns
Integrate with external systems including insurance platforms, CRMs, and document processing services
Partner closely with frontend engineers to ship end-to-end features
Write comprehensive automated tests, including integration tests
Qualification
Required
3+ years of backend engineering experience with Python
Strong experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge)
Comfort working with Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK)
Proven track record of collaborating closely with frontend engineers to deliver features
Preferred
Experience working with AI agents and Anthropic Claude
Familiarity with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Logfire, or Grafana
Background in insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries
